Posted

The Chester County High School Marching Eagles are entering the 2026 marching season with their new band director, Rebecca Potter. Potter comes to Chester County from her hometown of McEwen, Tennessee, where she taught for seven years in the Humphreys County School System after graduating from Faulkner University. During her time in McEwen, Potter developed a passion for music education and helping students succeed both on and off the field. Though she states that McEwen will forever hold a place in her heart, Potter is looking forward to this new chapter in her life at Chester County High School.
The Chester County High School Marching Eagles enter the 2026 season 43 members strong and are eager to showcase their hard work and dedication with this year’s field production, “The Return of Spring.” Led by Drum Major Alexis Crouse, the band has made excellent progress during pre-season rehearsals.
Potter credits much of the band’s success to the use of the district’s new multisport facility, stating the facility has been instrumental in helping the band beat the Tennessee heat and stay safe while working efficiently in their rehearsals. Assisting the band throughout the season are Assistant Director Jennifer Crouse, Color Guard Instructor Becca Miller, Percussion Instructor Luke Miller and Visual Instructor Destiny Holt-Hall. Potter expresses her gratitude for all their hard work and dedication to the program and students.
As excitement continues to build, the Marching Eagles look forward to sharing “The Return of Spring” with audiences throughout the fall. With a talented group of 43 student musicians, dedicated leadership and a supportive community behind them, the band is ready for a memorable and successful season. The Chester County High School Band invites the community to attend performances this fall and cheer on the Marching Eagles as they proudly represent their school with excellence, passion and Eagle pride.
