The Freed-Hardeman University Lady Lions volleyball team made it look easy Saturday, as they defeated St. Louis College of Pharmacy in straight sets on Senior Day at the Brewer Sports Center, (25-13, 25-12, 25-21).

Prior to the start of the match, the Lady Lions honored the senior members of the team, Bojana Antunovic and Audrey Moore, with a presentation on the court.

The Lady Lions (13-9, 7-5 AMC) received solid contribution from nearly every player on the roster, led by Antunovic who compiled 12 kills and two blocks. Claire Walker followed close behind with nine kills.

Emma Self dished out 28 of FHU’s 34 assists while Libero Reilly Fulton countered the Eutectic attack well with nine defensive digs. The Lady Lions also received solid contribution from the front line, as they compiled 14 blocks, led by Kathryn Bean and MacKenzie Wiley, who tallied four each. Aubree Mann had nine defensive digs.

However, the night before on Friday, FHU suffered a loss at the hands of Lindenwood University-Belleville, as they fell 3-1, also at the Brewer Sports Center.

Several FHU players contributed solid minutes including Antunovic, who led FHU on the attack with 15 kills. Walker followed close behind with 13 kills while Self dished out 39 assists. Fulton countered the Lynx attack well with 24 defensive digs.

FHU began play Tuesday in the AMC tournament.
