The Chester County High School Football team had a hard night Friday against Jackson South Side Hawks with the final score being 34-6. The Eagles just couldn’t stop the Hawks offense. Furthermore, the Eagles were finding it hard to get their own offense going. However, they were able to pull off a score by the end of the game.
The Eagles did have a few good moments, such as blocking an extra-point attempt by South Side.
Coach Steve Robinson was disappointed with the loss, as he thought the Eagles could handle their opponent, but he told his players to try to remain positive and not hang their heads.
‘It’s frustrating for us [coaches] and I know its frustrating for them,” he said. “We got to try to stay positive. We have to find some rhythm with what we do.”
Nonetheless, he told them that they have to start showing up, making plays and playing for four quarters.
“We can’t come out here Friday night waiting to see how the other team is going to play, how hard they’re going to play and decide we are going to play later,” he said. “We have to get our kids playing at another level than what they are playing now for sure.”
