Three members of the Chester County High School boys' soccer team were chosen for the All Tournament Team following the Best of the West Tournament last week in Jackson. From left making all tournament are Trevor Burns, Tyler Holman and Brennan Conoway. The Eagles placed third in the event, defeating Dyersburg 1-0 and North Side 2-1, and battling to a 2-all tie Thursday night with University School of Jackson.
Chester County Library will be hosting a book signing for debut author, Sally Rowlett Kilpatrick from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, May 9. Kilpatrick's book, "The Happy Hour Choir," was recently published by Kensington Press.

Saturday afternoon there was a natural gas explosion on Joy Lane. Someone was weed-eating near the line. Jacks Creek Fire Department responded. Also, Monday afternoon responders arrived on Roby Road to a shop on fire.
