In attracting butterflies to your garden, it's important to understand what they want most out of life - NECTAR! Butterflies are flying flowers! Their colors gently wave up and down in the air until they slowly dive toward nectar tucked in all kinds of flowers.

I've been looking for a good pork loin recipe for quite awhile, so I finally adapted one from several recipes that sounded tasty. I had my pork loin waiting in the freezer for a few weeks while I decided what to do with it, so I took it out on Friday to thaw in the refrigerator.

The Bemis Historical Society will host its annual Bemis Heritage Days event on Friday and Saturday, May 15-16. The event will be held in the Bemis Mill Village Museum building on North Missouri Street in Jackson.
The inaugural "Blossoming into a Better You" women's conference, the fun "ladies day out" event for women age 50 years and older, takes place from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, May 21 at the Carl Grant Events Center on the campus of Union University.
