Chester County High School announced Friday that Jason Shelton has been hired as its new boys' basketball coach. Shelton comes to CCHS after 11 years as men's basketball head coach at Freed-Hardeman University.
"The opportunity to teach and coach at Chester County High School is a new challenge, but having an impact on kids is still the goal," Shelton said. "Travel has taken me away from my family and many of the activities of our four children. The support of Melanie, my wife and Mac, Myles, Presley and Payton have fueled me and our program. This new role should give me the opportunity to be around for their junior high and high school days. I hope I can return to them some of the support they have given me."
