We are so thankful to begin another great year here at Jacks Creek Elementary School! We have been looking forward to our students returning so we can learn and grow together! Every week, we will be informing you all on the fantastic things we do here at Jacks Creek Elementary!
Kindergarten is off to a great start. Please remember to send any supplies that are still needed. Please check your child’s folder daily and return to school. We enjoyed getting to know them on our staggered days and look forward to many great days ahead.
In first grade we had an exciting week getting to know each other. We completed lots of “All About Me” projects so that we could learn about each other. We also worked on our handwriting so that we are ready for all that first grade has for us. We also reviewed our numbers one through 100. Ms. Vic and Ms. Kady are excited to see what this year has in store. We love our sweet boys and girls.
We learned how to be great students in second grade by studying book characters. We learned about respect, diligence, perseverance and responsibility. In math we reviewed first grade skills through learning centers and small groups with the teacher. We also brushed up on our sentence writing skills. We worked diligently to learn rules and procedures to make this a great year in second grade.
We love third grade! We are excited to see what this school year brings. Thank you to all of our families that came to Open House last week. We are thankful for your support this school year! Last week in reading, we read the novel, Third Grade Angels. In math we solved addition and subtraction problems.
Our Farmer of the week goes to Addison Pratt, whose favorite book is the “Magic Tree House” series and favorite food is chili. We are proud to have this student shine brightly at our school! Our Staff Farmer of the week goes to Joyce Fenimore! Her favorite book is the Bible, and her favorite food is everything. We appreciate all that she does for our school as one of our RTI Coordinators.
Fall picture day will be Tuesday, Aug. 27! Make sure your child wears something nice as we capture a wonderful memory!
Box Tops for Education: Please collect Box Tops! Each Box Top equals 10 cents for our school. This is an EASY way for us to earn money for JCES! Our goal is to raise $700. Everyone can help us reach this goal!

A note from Principal Tangie Sweatman: We are already off to a wonderful start at Jack’s Creek Elementary! Students have begun their adventure of learning classroom rules, procedures and expectations in order to be successful this school year. We look forward to watching your child grow and learn. Thank you for being a part of the JCES.
Lunch Money: When sending money to school for lunch or a la carte items, place it in a labeled envelope or plastic bag (student first and last name, lunch money) and place in your child’s folder.
PSO MEMBERSHIP DRIVE: Please encourage family, friends and neighbors to become a member of the JCES Parent Support Organization. This is an easy way for people in our community to invest in our students, the future leaders and productive citizens of Chester County. More information will be sent home at a later date. Our goal is to raise $1,800!
