Do you need help with your utility bill? If you have not applied or received assistance in 2019, you may qualify to receive assistance! Southwest Human Resource Agency is accepting applications for energy assistance to assist low-income families with utility costs through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
Applications for Chester County are being taken at the SWHRA Community Service Center, 269 N Church St, Henderson. Applicants must provide a copy of their government issued ID, current proof of income, official documentation of social security numbers for every member of household, documentation of any veteran or active military in the household, a 12 month summary from all of your heating and/or cooling energy suppliers. You must have ALL required documentation with you at the time of your appointment, or we will not be able to accept your application. Please call 989-3879 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
We can only accept new applications from those who have not received assistance since January 1 of this year. All others will be eligible to reapply beginning Oct. 1.
SWHRA will ensure that no person on the basis of handicap, race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin will be excluded from participation in, or be denied benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination in the operation of the LIHEAP program.
This program is funded under an agreement with the State of Tennessee.
