Agencies from several counties descended upon Rinks Lane in southeast Chester County Tuesday morning when reports came in that a young child had gone missing about 9 a.m.
Fortunately, a massive search resulted in the lad being found safe and sound at about 1 p.m. only about 200 yards from home.
The Chester County Sheriff’s Department spearheaded the effort, assisted by numerous agencies from Henderson, Chester County and surrounding counties. Search dogs were brought in, and a THP helicopter circled above in hopes of finding the child unharmed.
Henderson Police Department took over routine calls both in the city of Henderson and in Chester County so that the Sheriff’s Department could throw all their efforts into the search.
