The Henderson Farmers Market was the place to be on Friday, July 26 for BEEF day. Shoppers at the Market were welcomed as they arrived by the Chester County 4-H Livestock Club and the smell of all BEEF Burgers and BEEF Hot Dogs on the grill waiting to be served.
In cooperation with the Tennessee Beef Council the Chester County 4-H Livestock Club celebrated July is BEEF Month in Tennessee. The mission of the day was to educate consumers about the value of BEEF and to encourage consumers to purchase more BEEF this summer. Displays, banners and tables with educational material related to nutrition and recipes were welcomed by shoppers on this beautiful Friday morning. Members and parents of the Chester County 4-H Livestock Club grilled and served delicious all BEEF burgers and hot dogs.
Thanks to the community for your support of our Henderson Farmers Market and BEEF day. The Henderson Farmers Market appreciate our weekly shoppers but want to encourage everyone to attend. Come out and see what you have been missing every Friday. This great community is the reason this market is so successful, help spread the word about the wonderful vendors at the Henderson Farmers Market and all they have to offer.
The Henderson Farmers Market would like to say a big thank you to the kids and parents of the Chester County 4-H Livestock Club for spending their Friday promoting July is BEEF Month.
“These kids and parents continue to amaze me when we hold events like this in the community," extension agent Steve Rickman said.
